Ordinary 34 (Christ the King) Everything was created by God. But the Enemy tricked us into refusing to serve God. Jesus comes to set us free from sin and death. When we genuflect at Mass, we are saying: I put my life at the service of the true King.
Ordinary 21 – Now is the time to listen to Jesus’ voice and come home to the Father. If you want Jesus to open the doors of Heaven for you, open the door of your heart for Him. Communion is like an Altar Call: Can I get an Amen?
Ordinary 28 – You can’t do something to inherit eternal life because Jesus himself is Eternal Life. He loves you, and he desires you to be his friend. The journey may cost you everything, but it’s worth 100 times more. ”I love you. Come, follow me.”
In September there was a story about a man who died after jumping into his septic tank. His son, Joseph, had fallen into the tank and the man jumped in to save his son. Falling into a septic tank is a perfect image for what our sins do to us. On Good Friday, we remember that Jesus jumped into the darkness of sin in order to push us out.
