The Keys and the Sword (#430, Sts Peter and Paul)

Fr. Joel Homilies

Solemnity of Saints Peter and Paul (June 29). Peter’s statue holds Keys, a sign of his Mission to build up the Church. Paul’s statue carries a sword, a sign of his Mission to unbelievers. Both were motivated by the same thing: a real love for Jesus. Though they were very different, God accepted and called them both. God needs your gifts for Mission and Ministry.
