Baptism of the Lord (A) Part 1 – Jesus gives himself to us in Holy Communion. One way of doing this is called intinction. Part 2 – Jesus is baptized for us. We need to soak in God’s love so that it will squish out everywhere we go.
Baptism of the Lord – Baptism greets us at the door and washes away our false identities. It leads to the altar of praise, then sends us out to remind others who they are. God never forgot Jayme Closs or Elizabeth Smart. He has not forgotten you.
Holy Family — When the angel comes looking for us, are we going to be too proud, selfish, or busy to serve the Holy Family? Or will we be humble, hard-working, and generous? Let Jesus be the King of your heart; let him be the Lord of your family.
“Son, I love you, and I’m proud of you.” We need to hear these words. We need to say these words. Jesus is the Light of the World. He wakes us up to our true potential by placing His light within us. Are you shining? [AUDIO]
The Lord Jesus made the deaf to hear and the mute to speak. May he soon touch your ears to receive His word and your mouth to proclaim His faith, to the praise and glory of God the Father. Spend quality time with Jesus and let Him “open” you. (6 Sep 2015)
