Easter 5 – Before God creates a new heaven and a new earth, He needs to create a new heart and a new mind in you. This is why God has sent his Spirit into our hearts. Every time we cooperate with the Spirit we are choosing Heaven for us and for all.
Easter 4 – A mother says to her child: “Take, eat, this is my body; take, drink, this is my blood.” Motherhood gives us a glimpse of the Good Shepherd. Every Christian vocation feeds on God and leads others to God.
Easter 3 – Through the hands of priests, Jesus feeds us with Himself. He does this so we can be full of true life. You should be so full of Jesus that He’s coming out of your mouth! Ask Mother Mary to help you receive, nurture, and share God’s life.
Easter 2 (Divine Mercy) – Jesus has won the gift of mercy by dying and rising. But the real gift of God is the gift of his Friendship. Mercy is what happens when God welcomes back his unworthy friends. As we have received mercy, so we must also give.
Easter – There are signs of new life all around us. Where have you experienced death and hopelessness? God wants to give you new life right in your place of darkness. Practice dying, practice rising from the dead, and practice going to heaven.
Good Friday – God brings light out of darkness and the dead to life. This is the Paschal Mystery. Jesus knew that his Father would be with him every step of the way, his life had meaning, and his suffering had a purpose. Do I see my suffering this way?
Holy Thursday – The Passover lamb was slaughtered and eaten to save the Israelites. Christ our Paschal Lamb has been sacrificed; come to the feast! Take, eat, and enter into Communion with Him. Then go and wash the feet of others.
Palm Sunday – Now we are Battle Ready but are we fighting the right battle? The true battle is not about proving our worth or getting our way; it’s believing our worth and following God’s way. Pray that Jesus’ love will bring out the best in you.
Lent 5 – In the light of Palm Sunday, we see the true King and sinless judge who offers mercy. Jesus takes her place and pays the price for her sin. Jesus takes your place; Jesus pays your penalty. Will you live for the one who died for you?
Lent 4 – We need to come back to Home Base: the Father’s love for us. Sometimes we are the younger brother, sometimes the older. But we are all called to love like the Father. Experience God’s mercy 77 times, and welcome others as He welcomes you.
