Ordinary 26 – Where do we find friends in high places? We find them in the low places! When you open your heart to the poor, you open your heart to Our Lord. Look down and see — the King is at your door. Look down, don’t fright, he’s covered in sores.
Ordinary 25 – We are stewards, entrusted with God’s blessings. Why are you squandering God’s money on yourself and on this world? Even the dishonest steward learns that money isn’t everything. Use the gifts God has given you to bless others!
Ordinary 24 – Three lessons from our readings: 1) Remember whose you are, and where you and God have been together. 2) Expect God to lead you to something new and wonderful. 3) Listen to the voice of the Shepherd and let Him lead you.
Ordinary 23 – Marriage and discipleship both require a total gift of self. If you try to negotiate a lower ‘cost’, you’ll find these relationships constantly frustrating. If you’re not afraid to pay the price, the rewards are out of this world.
Ordinary 22 – Are we protecting and serving ourselves, or are we protecting and serving others? That is the question for police and priests, but also for doctors, lawyers, mothers and fathers — you and me. Humble yourself and God will exalt you.
