Ordinary 6 – We wouldn’t be so worried about pleasure, power, possessions or popularity if we believed in the Resurrection. We must use created things as much as they help us to fulfill our purpose, and rid ourselves of them so far as they hinder us.
Ordinary 5 – Have you worked hard all night and caught nothing? Stop washing your nets and spend a little time in silence. Maybe God is calling you to put out a little from shore, to cast into the deep, or to stay put just where you are.
Ordinary 4 – Today our guest homilist, Bishop Ricken, kicks off the annual Bishop’s Appeal. If we really lived what it means to be a “Catholic”, that second reading would apply to us. How is God calling YOU to be a missionary of hope?
