Holy Family — When the angel comes looking for us, are we going to be too proud, selfish, or busy to serve the Holy Family? Or will we be humble, hard-working, and generous? Let Jesus be the King of your heart; let him be the Lord of your family.
Christmas – We left the Garden of Eden and wandered in the cold and darkness, until the cave of Bethlehem brought us back to God’s love. Welcome the Christ child into your hearts and homes. Let light and love fill you and transform you.
Advent 4 – What does the birth of Jesus mean? There are three more feasts to explain the true meaning of Christmas: He is our Sacrifice (January 1). He is the true King of the World (January 6). He is the true God (February 2nd). Keep celebrating!
Advent 3 – Hearing Confessions makes me feel like John the Baptist: I’m not the Christ, but I work for Him. I too must forgive and be forgiven. Let Jesus be the Lord of your failures. He will bring light and life into the darkness of your heart.
Advent 2 – God hides extraordinary grace, joy, and blessings in everyday life. It was only when St. Anthony had accepted being an ordinary monk that he started to truly live an extraordinary life for God. Embrace the ordinary, and look what happens.
Immaculate Conception – On our way to celebrate Jesus’ birth, we pause to celebrate Mary’s conception. Why?!? God had such a great gift that no one was pure enough to receive it. God helped Mary be ready. Advent is when God helps us get ready.
Advent 1 – All time belongs to Jesus. How can we keep the Grinch from stealing our time? 1) Give to God first 2) Discern and Invest 3) Trust the Lord when your schedule changes. Let Jesus be the King of your heart and the Lord of your time.
Christ the King – Jesus humbled himself, but God exalted Him and made Him the true King. Let Jesus be the king of your heart. Let him be the Lord of your work. And we can all stop playing King of the Hill.
