God Things Come in Humble Packages (#706, Christmas)

Fr. Joel Homilies 2 Comments

The Nativity of the Lord (Christmas) • We have been waiting for Jesus and now here he is! Christmas tells us that we can find Jesus in humble, ordinary places: a stable, the Eucharist, with jail inmates, and with cancer patients. Christmas reminds us that the God who loves us has come to dwell with us. But Christmas is also about learning to recognize Jesus among us. Where do you see Jesus?

God things come in humble packages. Thank you for the wonderful homily. I listened to this “after” Christmas and really made me reflect on how my Christmas was. I have 3 daughters of my own and I plan to buy them each a journal for the new year. They have families of there own and I think this would be such a wonderful thing to do as a family at the end of the day, and help there children to grow in there faith as well. You always seem to have a message that fits my life just when I need it! Thank you!

Even on the challenging days of life there is always someone who lifts me up. I just need to be aware of God’s little whispers. Thanks for helping me look for those daily.
